“communication dominates space as an element in the  architecture and in the landscape.”
Denise Scott Brown, Robert Venturi, and Steven Izenour(Learning from Las Vegas)

The East Coast Park was created for the people; it is a place where people can be active, but also enjoy leisure. Over the years, developments have taken place which allow the Park to be far safer and easily accessible for everyone. This meant putting up numerous signs- signs that would signify places to rest, caution and limits- and regulations in the form of nets and convex mirrors. Amongst all the greenery, one can notice the bright red and orange of these structures, which tend to seamlessly blend into the scenery- giving ECP a naturally ‘regulated’ look.
This project explores how a sense of place is created through man-made communicators.
